Restcamps are fenced off areas within the Kruger Park. Each have a
collection of separate chalets, bungalows, caravan and tent sites.
Restcamps have electricity, a first-aid centre, a shop, laundry tubs, communal
kitchen, a restaurant and/or a self service cafeteria, public phones and a
petrol station.
The number of day and overnight visitors to the Kruger Park is limited
to a daily quota. This prevents over-crowding of the facilities and the
roads. On your wildlife safari you will not be swamped with fellow
game-seekers !
Within the restcamps, you have a choice of the
following :
Guest house
Luxury
and modest self-contained accommodation with 3-4 bedrooms. Thatched and
air conditioned.
Cottage
Self-contained accommodation with 2-3 bedrooms or 1 bedroom and combined
living/bedroom. Thatched and air conditioned.
Chalet
Thatched rondawel with one bedroom, private bathroom, and refrigerator.
Some with equipped kitchens. Air conditioned.
Bungalow
Thatched rondawel with one bedroom and refrigerator.
Communal ablution facilities. Air conditioned.

Chalets with private bathroom
Bushveld camps provide luxurious accommodation in smaller, more
remote restcamps. One or more accommodation units may be reserved.
Bushveld camps do not have shops or restaurants. Access to all bushveld
camps is restricted to overnight visitors with reserved
accommodation.
A Bush Lodge is an exclusive, private lodge with a unique style and
atmosphere providing the opportunity for tourists to enjoy complete
privacy. Bush Lodges must be reserved en bloc, and can accommodate a
maximum of 12, 16 or 19 persons. Only residents are allowed entrance to
the camps. There are no shops or restaurant facilities. The kitchen has
a gas stove with oven, refrigerator, freezing, cutlery and
crockery.
