Tau Game Lodge is located in the heart of South Africa's fourth largest game
reserve. The malaria free Madikwe is home to both white and the
rare black rhino, buffalo, elephant, lion, leopard, cheetah and wild dog. In its
dedication to conservation, Tau donates a percentage of its revenue to wild dog
and predator monitoring in the reserve.
Chalets are set around a waterhole
Courteous to the great might of Africa, a subtle arc of 30 ethnically
decorated, air conditioned chalets overlook a waterhole and the rolling hills of
the inselbergs where the great animals roam and live according to their ancient
rules. From you private deck or outdoor shower witness the ancient tryst of
herds and hunters, compelled by thirst to imperil their fragile lives.
Each chalet boasts air conditioning, en suite bathrooms, outdoor
shower, private deck and private phones.
Suite Lounge
As the Southern Cross and Orion's Belt garland the dome of the night
sky, the distant smell of campfire from the open air boma welcomes guests
back from their evening game drive to a meal of exotic African delicacies.
Tau has a beautiful pool area, 3 meals daily, bush dinners served on
request, daily game drives, bush walks, rhino tracking on request.
