South Africa's third largest game reserve, at 55 000 hectares, is sited in an extinct
volcano and is more than 1000 million years old. It has more than 8000
head of game, including the Big Five, and over 350 bird species.
Full day safari, departs early morning from your hotel in
Johannesburg or Pretoria. On route, drive through the
Magaliesberg area and stop briefly at the Hartebeespoortdam for
sightseeing. Arriving two hours later at the Pilanesberg Game Reserve. The
Big Five reside here, amongst a wide variety of other game, including
rhinoceros, zebra, giraffe and kudu.
Morning and afternoon game drives allow you the opportunity to see
these animals in their natural environment. Lunch included at Bakubung
