Itinerary
Day 1 : Hartebeespoort Dam and the Pilanesberg Game Reserve
First day depart early morning. On route, drive through the
Magaliesberg area and stop briefly at the Hartebeespoortdam for
sightseeing. Arriving two hours later at the Pilanesberg Game Reserve. All
the Big Five reside here, amongst a wide variety of other game, including
rhinoceros, zebra, giraffe and kudu.
Mid morning settle into your chalets at Manyane. These attractive face
brick chalets have a twin beds, kitchen and private bathroom. A swimming
pool and cool lawns are ideal for relaxing in the middle of the day.
Enjoy an afternoon game drive with your guide – well acquainted with
the wildlife and who know where are the best game viewing spots.
Dinner to be prepared for you by your guide over an open campfire. The
African night lends itself to yarns spun by your guide – his many years
in the African bush come to life around the campfire !

Day 2 : Full day of Game Viewing
Start with coffee, tea and rusks before leaving for an early morning
game drive. You will be thrilled by the sights of the wildlife in their natural
environment. Your guide will continue to introduce you to many interesting
aspects of the environment. The ecosystem will come alive to you as you understand how the animals,
trees, plants and insect life all interact.
Midday enjoy the refreshing swimming pool and recreation area. Later in the afternoon, once the
heat of the day has passed, enjoy an afternoon game drive. Game viewing
continues to the lake in the centre of the volcanic crater. Amongst the
crocodiles and hippos are an abundance of water birds.
Visit the Old Magistrates Court, steeped in history and interest.
Snacks can be purchased here. Afternoon game drive to search for any
animals that may have eluded you until now.

Day 3 : Last Game Drives
Enjoy breakfast in the Pilanesberg and your last morning
game drive. Expect to return to Johannesburg / Pretoria early evening.
Optional visit to Sun City, the Kingdom of Pleasure, can be arranged
for you on request.
